Let our Home Comfort Advisers help you find a perfect system today!

So it’s time for a new air conditioner?  It’s one of the most expensive purchases you will make for your home, but it doesn’t have to be stressful.

We will take you through each STEP and give you the right information you need to make your important decision.

Step 1: Choose Your New System

A straight cool system comes with a cheaper upfront investment and is ideal for someone that does not require significant heating in the winter. A straight cool system heats by directing power to a heat strip, much like the coils in an oven, the heat strip gets hot and the air handler blows air across the coils and heats up the air. This method of heating is much less efficient than a heat pump so is only recommended if the heat is not used often.

A heat pump is very efficient in both air conditioning and heating modes. During the cooler months when heating is needed, a heat pump simply reverses its normal operation to bring heat into the house instead of removing it. If you like to keep your home warm during the winter then a heat pump will be the best option for you because of the increased heating efficiency over a straight cool system.

Ductless systems target specific areas of your home. Available in single and multi-zone configurations that cool or heat up to 4 independent zones.

Step 2: Choose Your Accessories

Non Programmable Thermostats give you basic control over the cooling and heating in your home.

Programmable Thermostats give you the ability to set your own cooling and heating schedule as well as save money on your power bill by following your programmed schedule.

WiFi thermostats give you control from any device, such as your pc, laptop and smart phone!  If you change your normal routine, you can access your device and adjust the temp.  You can even get a system alert to your device if something has gone wrong with  your system.

UV Lights reduce the chance of mold growth in the air handler.

Added benefits include:

  • Cleans the air in your home
  • Reduces allergens in the air
  • Reduces the risk of mold growth in your duct system and air handler
  • Prolongs the life of your HVAC system

Air filters not only clean circulating air, but they also keep the system’s interior clean and working properly. Clogged filters allow dust and other airborne debris to become trapped in the air handler which can ultimately cause the system to fail long before it would with proper filter upkeep.

To ensure the best possible indoor air quality for your home. Certain instances such as high traffic areas, pets or smokers in a home may require more frequent filter changes.
